Teresa Kennedy-Professor of International STEM University of Texas at Tyler

Dr. Teresa Kennedy​ holds a joint appointment as ​Professor of International STEM (Science, Education, Engineering and Mathematics) and Bilingual/Language Education in the College of Education and Psychology and in the College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler.​ Prior to her position at UT Tyler, Dr. Kennedy served as the Deputy Director of NASA’s GLOBE Program for nearly 12 years, and also served as the Director of GLOBE’s International Division, leading science education activities in 108 countries. She has traveled to over 100 countries through her work and educational experiences, and served as a Fulbright Scholar in Ecuador, Argentina, and Hungary. She is the immediate Past President of Tyler Sister Cities and currently serves as the Director of the Tyler Sister Cities Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) program, facilitating teachers across Texas to travel to Yachiyo, Japan to teach English in middle school classrooms.
